The Design and Development Process

1. Contact dkddi

Use the form provided here to request a consultation with a developer.

2. Kickoff Consultation

We will schedule a telephone consultation to further explore your needs and objectives. From this discussion we will draft a proposal which will contain the development synopsis, WordPress plugins that we plan to use, project scope, site architecture, timeline, and pricing. You will be required to prepare and deliver all content, branding guidelines, and imagery to us before moving forward.

3. Client Onboarding

Once the design and development proposal is approved we will set up your dkddi.com user account. This will be your client portal from which you will manage your products, billing, and payment.

4. Design and Development

At dkddi we utilize a design and development technique which we call Rapid Development. This process involves designing your website within a live WordPress environment. This removes the need for a costly and time consuming wireframing and graphic design. The design concept exists in a LIVE website so you can see exactly how the site will look and behave. All client review will take place in this staging version of the website.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance

Prior to launch we perform extensive testing to ensure that the site is compatible with current browser versions include*: Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari Performance optimization and site caching is performed and tested through GTMetrix.com and Google Page Speed Insights. Responsive styling will be deployed and tested through the Google Mobile Friendly testing service.

6. Launch

It’s alive! Once development is complete, it’s time to light the fires and launch the site!
